Under it's current publishing program, Archer Books is currently publishing only non-fiction, political/historical works. We accept no unsolicited submissions, but do accept queries either via mail or e-mail. Before sending same, please consider our general policies and query criteria below. Unsolicited manuscripts will not be returned.

GENERAL CONTRACT POLICIES

Authors and Agents: please consider the following policies relative to our considering a given work for publication before submitting same.

1. We pay no advances.
2. Royalties are calculated on a net basis calculated from actual sales.
3. We pay royalties only after a previously agreed upon amount for production and promotion is recovered from sales.
4. We consider work well in advance of possible publication date. For example: our current lead time from acceptance to publication is one year, which does not include any preliminary work with the author to bring the manuscript up to a publishable standard.

We offer the above in advance to, hopefully, avoid misunderstandings, confusion and/or disappointment.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

We are currently accepting queries for full length, non-fiction, political/historical works only, which should include the following:

a. Authors should include a sample of their work, consisting of, at least Chapter One of the non-fiction work, plus a synopsis of the total work.
b. All persons submitting queries for consideration should include a brief bio or C.V. and a description of their publishing history (if any).
